Motaung offers Khumalo condolences

Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to club legend Doctor Khumalo, whose daughter passed away this week.

Khumalo, a former Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfield maestro, sadly saw his daughter Theonada passing away at the tender age of 25 on Wednesday.

"We are with Doctor during these difficult times," Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung was quoted saying on the club website.

"Losing a child is something unimaginable. Theonada was a young woman full of spirit. Doctor loved her a lot. I can't express the pain I feel, especially as I know how it feels to lose a child.

"I want to express my heartfelt condolences on behalf of Management, Players, Staff and Supporters of Kaizer Chiefs."

"The Chiefs Chairman asks Doctor to find comfort in Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.'

"May the Lord be with Theonada's family and friends during this time of mourning."
